Dark Matter eLiquid

Enjoy the wonderful flavor of our latest VapeSafe eLiquid - Dark Matter.

Dark Matter tastes like German chocolate cake. For those of you who have not had the fortunate to try a piece German chocolate cake recently, this is a great way to experience the flavor without getting any of the calories. German chocolate cake is a layered cake filled and topped with a coconut-pecan frosting. Traditionally sweet baking chocolate is used for the chocolate flavor in the actual cake. The robust filling and topping is a caramel made with egg yolks and evaporated milk. Once the caramel is cooked, coconut and pecans are stirred into the mixture. Finally, rich chocolate frosting is spread around the sides of the cake to hold in the filling.

Dark Matter eLiquid by VapeSafe captures the essence of German chocolate cake. Dark Matter eLiquid delivers plumes of vapor and rich chocolatey flavor that you'll want to enjoy again and again. Try Dark Matter today!

Description

This collection includes, in order: Anne of Green Gables, 1908, Anne's age 11-16; Anne of Avonlea, 1909, 16-18; Anne of the Island, 1915, 18-22; Anne's House of Dreams, 1917, 25-27; Rainbow Valley, 1919, 41; Rilla of Ingleside, 1921, 49-53. It also includes two related books in which Anne Shirley appears, but not as the main character: Chronicles of Avonlea, 1912, and Further Chronicles of Avonlea, 1920.

Acording to Wikipedia: "The central character, Anne, an orphaned girl, made Montgomery famous in her lifetime and gave her an international following. The first novel was followed by a series of sequels with Anne as the central character. The novels became the basis for the highly acclaimed 1985 CBC television miniseries, Anne of Green Gables and several other television movies and programs, including Road to Avonlea, which ran in Canada and the U.S. from 1990-1996."

Summary: "Terrible formatting and distracting typos"

I downloaded this book to my kindle on 8/11/10 and I was fairly happy with it until I finished Anne of Green Gables and proceeded onto Anne of Avonlea. There I found the strange line breaks that another reviewer has mentioned, and it was just too annoying visually to try to read through. I skipped ahead to the other books and found several of them had the same problem and so abandoned this ebook.

Aside from this, I noticed that in several places throughout Green Gables there were what looked to be proofreading errors--places where someone was uncertain of the word and put a "???" next to it. In my opinion, those "???"s were far more jarring than a typo would have been!

At $1.99 I'm not too put out by these problems with the file, but I am deleting it from my kindle and grabbing the books for free from Project Gutenberg. (Gutenberg is missing Windy Poplars but the rest are there.) This would have been more convenient, but it's not worth it!

Summary: "Disappointing"

I was disappointed when I bought these books and found it was missing two books in the series. I read this series a few years ago and thought it would be a good idea to buy them on my kindle but I don't like reading series unless I have all the books.

Summary: "What a great deal!! Many happy memories enclosed here."

I read the first two Anne books numerous times when I was a child (MANY years ago!) and loved them dearly. I was so happy to read them again, along with these additional books, even if two of them are missing from the collection according to other reviews. It made me a little sad that Anne and Gilbert's romance and Gilbert's personality weren't more fully developed. Then I remembered that I had a huge crush on Gilbert way back when, so obviously the attraction is there for the intended age group. The changes in formatting can be disconcerting when beginning a new book in the series, but it didn't take long to get in the flow in each new book. Just as the Kindle disappears in your hand, so does the difficulty with formatting. This collection is a tremendous value and brings back many happy memories, plus I learned a few things about WWI along the way.

Summary: "OK, but key books missing"

Not only is Anne of Windy Poplars missing (I know it as Anne of Windy Willows), but Anne of Ingleside is also not available. As AofI is one of my favourites in the series, this was quite disappointing.
That said I had no probems with the format and found it very easy to downlaod and read.

Summary: "Nice but missing one book"

This is still a good deal but Anne of Windy Poplars is missing which is quite disappointing.
